Washington, D.C. (September 20, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading representative of small
business owners, is endorsing Jason
Lewis for Minnesota’s 2nd
Congressional District. Lewis’s commitment to issues that small business
owners care about makes him an ideal candidate for Congress.
“Jason Lewis would be a strong voice for small
business in Congress,” said NFIB
National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “He has known for a long time that
excessive regulation, high taxes, and the cost of health care are weighing on
small business owners. It will be good to see his political expertise being put
to work representing small business owners in the U.S. House.”
“Jason was not only a strong advocate for
small business during his 25 years of hosting radio shows, but he also walked
the walk running his family’s small business prior to his radio career,” said NFIB/Minnesota State Director Mike Hickey.
“He knows firsthand the problems that small businesses face and how difficult
it is to succeed.”
Lewis’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB
SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Small business
owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their
communities. NFIB members in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional
District will work hard to send Jason Lewis to Congress.
