NFIB cites Congressman’s voting record in support of small business
Washington, D.C. (May 16, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, is endorsing Rep. Dave Brat (VA-07) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. NFIB cited Congressman Brat’s strong support of small business issues in its endorsement.
“We are proud to endorse Congressman Brat for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives on behalf of our Virginia small business members,” said NFIB’s Virginia State Director Nicole Riley. “Congressman Brat has been a dependable supporter of small business during his time in the U.S. House, especially in his role on the House Small Business Committee and in the passage of tax reform. He will remain committed to helping alleviate the challenges that small businesses face.”
Congressman Brat has demonstrated a solid voting record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, earning a 100 percent rating so far from NFIB. The list of votes is available here. Brat is a member of the Congressional Small Business Caucus.
“Congressman Brat’s voting record speaks for itself,” said NFIB’s National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “He is a proven leader in the U.S. House on issues that affect small businesses like burdensome regulations and onerous red tape. We know Congressman Brat will continue to stand up for small business in Virginia and across the nation.”
NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Congressman Brat’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Virginia will work hard to keep Congressman Brat in the U.S. House.
