ALBANY, N.Y. (Sept. 17, 2020) — The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Nicole Malliotakis today for election to the United States House of Representatives to represent New York’s 11th Congressional District at an event at NFIB member ACME Industrial on Staten Island.
“Growing up in a small business family, Nicole Malliotakis has a deep understanding of the challenges our members are experiencing,” said Greg Biryla, NFIB’s New York State Director. “She is committed to reducing taxes on small businesses and increasing government accountability and transparency. We know she will be a strong advocate for our state’s small businesses in Congress. That’s why we’re proud to endorse Nicole Malliotakis today for election to the United States House of Representatives on behalf of small businesses in New York’s 11th Congressional District.”
Nicole Malliotakis is a New York assemblywoman representing Assembly District 64, which spans portions of the boroughs of Brooklyn and Staten Island. She currently serves as Minority Whip.
“Nicole Malliotakis will be a friend and an ally of New York’s small businesses in Congress,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “She knows the difficulties small businesses are facing everywhere and understands the issues our members care about. We are pleased to endorse her for election to Congress today, and we look forward to working with her.”
Nicole Malliotakis’ endorsement today comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by NFIB member donations above membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation process. Small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in New York will work hard to elect Nicole Malliotakis to Congress.
