Minnesota Small Businesses Endorse Jason Lewis for Election to Congress

Date: October 14, 2020

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (Oct. 14, 2020) — The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Jason Lewis today for election to represent Minnesota in the United States Senate.

“We have no doubt that Jason Lewis will be a true advocate for Minnesota’s small businesses in the U.S. Senate,” said Mike Hickey, NFIB’s Minnesota State Director. “He has a proven record of supporting pro-small business legislation and earned a 100% NFIB voting record in the United States House of Representatives. He also understands the issues that our members care about firsthand as a former small business owner himself. On behalf of our members in Minnesota, we are proud to endorse Jason Lewis for election to the U.S. Senate.”

Jason Lewis served as a member of the United States House of Representatives representing Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District from 2017 to 2019. He was a radio talk show host, political commentator, and writer before entering Congress. Prior to his 25-year career of hosting radio shows, he ran his family’s small business, Lewis Motor Supply, Inc.

“Jason Lewis’ record speaks for itself,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “He is a strong ally for small businesses, and we are confident that he will remain so in the U.S. Senate. We look forward to continuing to work with him.”

Jason Lewis’ endorsement today comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by NFIB member donations above membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation process. Small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in Minnesota will work hard to elect Jason Lewis to Congress.
