Iowa Small Businesses Endorse Senator Joni Ernst for Re-election

Date: August 26, 2020

DES MOINES, Iowa (Aug. 26, 2020) — The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Senator Joni Ernst for re-election to the United States Senate during an endorsement event at NFIB member Heartland construction company in Des Moines.

“Senator Joni Ernst has always been there for our members,” said Matt Everson, NFIB’s Iowa State Director. “She has a deep understanding of small business issues and has been an active participant in meetings with Iowa small business owners, even participating in an NFIB Small Business Challenge where she worked at an NFIB member business in Winterset baking apple fritters. We have no doubt that Senator Ernst will continue to be a champion for Iowa’s small businesses in the Senate, and we are proud to endorse her today.”

“Joni Ernst is a true leader for small businesses in Iowa and across the country,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Her voting record shows that she consistently supports small businesses. We are grateful for her support and dedication to the issues our members care about, and we look forward to continuing to work with her in Congress. We are pleased to endorse Senator Joni Ernst for re-election today.”

Joni Ernst’s endorsement today comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by NFIB member donations above membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation process. Small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in Iowa will work hard to re-elect Joni Ernst.
