Washington, D.C. (July 24, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement today on behalf of President and CEO Juanita D. Duggan following the Tax Reform 2.0 framework issued by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady:
“We are encouraged that the Tax Reform 2.0 framework Chairman Brady issued today locks in the tax cuts in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act for small businesses, and we are eager to see the full legislation in September. Permanency helps provide certainty for small business owners across the country, allowing them to continue plans to increase wages and reinvest in their companies. NFIB has worked tirelessly through meetings on Capitol Hill and in the states, our fly-in, and research to ensure lawmakers understand the positive effects tax reform has had on our members and we will continue to do so during the upcoming district work period.”
