White House Praises NFIB Efforts to Support Reform During Ceremony

Washington, D.C. (June 29, 2018)NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement today on behalf of President and CEO Juanita D. Duggan following her visit to the White House where President Donald J. Trump thanked NFIB for the support in passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act:

“In the six months since the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law, small and independent businesses are seeing greater success than they have in decades.

“Taxes were the top problem for owners for decades, which is why NFIB dedicated our efforts to working with Congress and the White House to ensure the final tax bill included real relief for small and independent businesses. And it did, thanks to the tireless dedication of our members.

“Small businesses account for nearly half of our country’s private sector jobs and GDP. When they thrive, that’s good news for the entire economy.”
