WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 25, 2020) — NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement from NFIB President Brad Close in response to the United States Senate’s passage of S. 3548, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, today. The bill will help ease the economic strain caused by COVID-19 by providing cash flow and liquidity to small businesses:
“Small businesses across the country have been doing everything they can to keep their doors open and help their employees and their families during this unprecedented public crisis. The Senate bill provides access to much-needed funding to small businesses to help them do what’s best for their employees, and keep their doors open. NFIB thanks all the senators who worked to make sure that the concerns of small businesses were included in the bill.”
