Washington, D.C. (September 30, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB)
, the nation’s leading representative of small
business owners, is endorsing Rep. Darrell
Issa (CA-49)
for re-election. Issa has a strong record of supporting
legislation that would help small businesses and should be returned to the U.S.
House of Representatives.

“Congressman Issa has been a strong voice for California
small businesses and deserves to be re-elected,” said NFIB National
Political Director Sharon Sussin
. “On every critical vote this Congress, he
stood with small business owners. He’s fighting to reduce taxes and eliminate
regulations that are holding back growth and jobs. He deserves to be re-elected
to continue the good work.”

“I’m humbled to be
recognized for my efforts in Congress to create a thriving environment where
small business can succeed,” said Issa. “Californians can’t afford to have more
of our businesses driven out by high taxes or burdensome new regulations. In
San Diego and Orange County we’ve been fortunate as tech startups and
innovative new companies have flocked to the area, creating thousands of jobs
and incredible opportunities. It’s imperative that we work together to ensure
that our small business owners have the tools they need to grow, create jobs,
and achieve the American dream.”

Issa qualified for an endorsement from the NFIB
by achieving a high rating on votes scored in the current Congress. The
Congressman earned 100 percent on the 13 votes NFIB has monitored so far. The
list of the votes is available here.

Issa’s endorsement today comes from the
NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee.  Small
business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their
