Date: April 16, 2018

NFIB cites Congressman’s pro-small business voting record

Washington, D.C. (Apr. 16, 2018) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is endorsing Rep. Bruce Westerman (AR-04) for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives. NFIB cited Congressman Westerman’s dedicated support of small business issues in its endorsement.

“We are glad to have Congressman Westerman working in the U.S. House of Representatives for small businesses in Arkansas,” said NFIB Arkansas State Director Sylvester Smith. “He has been a strong supporter of small business issues throughout his time in the U.S. House. Congressman Westerman will continue to fight for lower taxes and fewer regulations so that small businesses in Arkansas remain healthy and growing. On behalf of our Arkansas small business members, we are proud to endorse Congressman Westerman for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.”

Congressman Westerman has demonstrated a solid voting record as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, earning a 100 percent rating from NFIB so far. The list of votes is available here.

“Small business is the backbone of the U.S. economy and is the driving force behind jobs and growth in Arkansas and the 4th District. I’ve been an advocate for small business in Congress by supporting bills such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and working to reduce regulations that create unnecessary strangleholds. It’s an honor to be recognized and endorsed by NFIB based on my service and voting record,” said Westerman.

“Congressman Westerman has been a dedicated advocate for small business,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “Congressman Westerman earned a 100 percent voting record so far, and we believe that he will remain committed to supporting legislation that helps move small businesses forward in Arkansas and across the country.”

NFIB is the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization. Congressman Westerman’s endorsement today comes from the NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. Small business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their communities. NFIB members in Arkansas will work hard to keep Congressman Westerman in the U.S. House.
