Washington, DC (August 2, 2016) – The National Federation of
Independent Business (NFIB)
, the nation’s leading advocate for small business
owners, today endorsed Sen. John McCain
(R-AZ)
for reelection at a campaign event at the headquarters of
NFIB-member TOMCAR® in Phoenix, Arizona.

“Senator McCain has been a strong voice for
small businesses in Arizona,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan.
“He has always worked to reduce taxes and fight burdensome regulations. He has
earned the endorsement of small business owners and we need him in the Senate
to fight for our job creators.”

“I am honored to have the support of the
National Federation of Independent Business, the leading voice for America’s
small businesses,” said Sen. McCain. “I greatly admire the men and women who
have built their businesses from the ground up. Small businesses are the backbone
of Arizona and our great country and I will continue to fight for policies that
eliminate overly burdensome regulations on job creators. I appreciate NFIB’s
support and I look forward to the campaign ahead.”

“Sen. John McCain continues that great Arizona
tradition established by Barry Goldwater that a man is what he does, not what
he says,” added NFIB/Arizona State
Director Farrell Quinlan
. “Throughout his congressional service, Sen.
McCain has been a friend of small business in deed. And for that he not only
receives our endorsement but our deepest gratitude.”

McCain qualified for an endorsement from the
NFIB by achieving a high rating on votes scored in the current Congress. The
list of scored votes is available here.

The endorsement today comes from the
NFIB SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee. Small
business owners vote in high percentages and they are influential in their
communities.
