Benefits of the Modernized Gateway
The Gateway Modernization Project has transformed the Gateway into a more user-friendly, reliable, and secure portal. The Gateway now has a more modern look and feel that follows the latest web design and customer experience standards.
Information around the site is consolidated, making the most important information easier to find. In addition to streamlined site navigation, the intuitive business registration “wizard” allows users to setup and register a new business with ease.
Pre-populated information and fewer required clicks reduce the time it takes to complete a transaction in the Gateway, resulting in more efficient and simplified filing processes. The Gateway also houses PDF versions of transaction confirmations and receipts that are easy to access and print.
The modernized Gateway’s Help Center houses hundreds of how-to articles, video tutorials, and FAQs to assist users in completing their transactions on the Gateway. In addition, Gateway users now have the ability to request help or ask a question 24/7 by using the system’s online help case functionality.

How to Get Started
Here are a few tips to share with Gateway users navigating the modernized system for the first time:
- Users should have their existing Gateway username and password ready in order to expedite the login process. If they do not remember their Gateway username or password, direct them to this link. Additionally, this video provides step-by-step instructions on how to complete the one-time set-up process the first time a user logs in to the modernized Gateway.
- Each existing Gateway user’s transaction history, receipts, and filing access have been brought over from the previous system into the modernized Gateway. Click the “Home” button to be taken to the Business Dashboard, where users will see the list of transactions to which they have access. To begin filing a transaction, click on the name of the transaction.
- Service Provider users can switch between the multiple business accounts to which they have access by selecting the business name from the Business Account Dropdown in the top left-hand corner of the page. Click the “Go” button to refresh the Business Dashboard and view that business’ information.
- For an optimal experience, we encourage the use of supported browsers including Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer (IE) 11 is also supported, but due to Salesforce and Microsoft security rules, users with IE 11 may need to update their browser settings.
