Ohio Lt. Governor Husted Seeks Input from Small Business on New Technology Internship Guidelines

Today’s strong economy provides a great amount of opportunity – both for businesses seeking to grow their presence in Ohio, as well as for students and professionals who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Governor DeWine and Lt. Governor Husted knows that growing Ohio business requires a trained and skilled workforce that can fuel their expansion. Through the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, they have taken action to close the skills gap, including launching both TechCred and the new Industry Sector Partnership grant program. The next step is to launch a new, statewide internship initiative for high school students in order to attract more young people into technology-related career fields.
