NFIB Ohio Member Profile: Everhart Advisors Helps Business Grow

Date: May 04, 2016

Everhart Advisors is an independent registered investment advisory firm serving both businesses and individuals. In 1995, Scott Everhart and Andrew Keeler had a vision of creating a fee-based financial advisory firm that offered a broader range of services for clients, and operated at a high level of ethical standards and trust. Today, Everhart Advisors consists of 16-18 highly qualified and knowledgeable experts that oversee each client relationship. Each employee is a specialist in their respective discipline, an approach that has allowed them to consistently help plan sponsors reduce and control cost, increase participation, minimize fiduciary liability and build retirement plans with investment flexibility.

In 2003, NFIB member Frank Ciotola joined the firm, now a partner and senior relationship manager he assists business owners and plan participants with the challenges of achieving retirement income security. “Retirement is our core business, today employees are now responsible for their own retirement since the economy has moved from traditional pension plans to 401(k)s and individual retirement accounts , and that this is why Americans turn to investment advisors for help”.

Frank explained, “We help individuals with personal financial planning, investments, and mortgages and also serve mid to large sized corporations with flexible, customized retirement, 401(k) and profit sharing plans. Unlike other firms, were independent, allowing us to utilize virtually every financial tool available to us -we develop plans and solutions for individuals and businesses, helping you to build wealth”.

Frank’s involvement with NFIB began in 1983 operating his family’s restaurant, Da Vinci Ristorante, in Upper Arlington for 25 years. Everhart Advisors Inherited NFIB’s membership once he was made partner. Already a strong advocate for small business, Frank was “attracted to the political presence that NFIB provides and the legislative work that they do, they provide a pro-active voice for small business owners, we don’t have time to do that ourselves”.

Frank is an active member of the Franklin County Area Action Council and serves on NFIB/Ohio’s Leadership Council.  He served as Leadership Council Chairman from 2003 to 2006, was honored as “Small Business Champion” in 2005. In addition to his involvement in NFIB, he has served as President and Mayor of Upper Arlington City Council and participates in many community-based organizations, including, the Upper Arlington Civic Association, Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and Financial Planning Association. In 2012, Governor Kasich appointed Frank to serve as the ‘Governor’s investment designee’ on the OPERS Board.
