NFIB will make sure our members views are represented
NFIB’s New York State Director Greg Biryla has been asked to join Governor Andrew Cuomo’s New York Forward Re-Opening Advisory Board, ensuring that the voice of small business will be heard by the state’s top economic development officials as New York continues to plan and execute its economic re-opening strategy.
According to the Governor Cuomo’s announcement last week, the New York Forward Re-Opening Advisory Board will help guide the state’s re-opening strategy. The advisory board is chaired by former secretaries to the Governor Steve Cohen and Bill Mulrow and includes over 100 business, community and civic leaders from industries across the state.
“COVID-19 has altered every aspect of daily life and commerce across the nation and nowhere is that more evident than in New York. Because of state leadership and unprecedented resolve demonstrated by health professionals, first responders, and everyday New Yorkers, New York is prepared to take the critical next steps to restart its economy,” said Greg Biryla, NFIB’s New York State Director. “Our future prosperity will be driven by Main Street, not Wall Street. New York’s two million small businesses that employ half the state’s workers are ready to help lead an economic recovery that is safe, full, and fair. NFIB and its thousands of members across every neighborhood in New York are thankful for this opportunity.”
