But only for applications currently in the pipeline -- no new applications accepted
Those who already applied for state small business grants may not be denied as money is added to the program.
On August 11, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) announced that its Board has approved the use of an additional $15.3 million in Coronavirus, Aid, Relief and Emergency Security (CARES) Act funding to provide additional small business grants through the Authority’s Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program. The money will go to businesses that have already applied for the grants that are located in 12 New Jersey counties that did not receive direct allocations of CARES Act funding from the federal government.
The Small Business Assistance Grant Program is currently oversubscribed and not accepting new applications, but the NJEDA intends to use the CARES Act funding announced today to fulfill a significant portion of the applications already in the pipeline, particularly where direct federal funding was not provided to counties.
