HOUSE VOTE BRINGS SMALL BUSINESS CLOSER TO NECESSARY REFORM

Date: May 05, 2017

LANSING (May 5, 2017): The following statement may be attributed to Charles Owens, Michigan State Director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB):

Since Obamacare was passed, small business owners and their hard working employees have suffered as costs increased and choice in healthcare became virtually non-existent. The vote in the House yesterday was a vital step to ensuring that Michigan citizens and small businesses have a clear path forward that includes predictable coverage and responsible legislation. In order for small businesses to succeed, we hope to see both Houses of Congress agree on a bill that will not only mitigate against any further damage to the healthcare industry but improve the system overall.
