Attend Small Business Day at the Capitol on June 5, 2019

Date: May 29, 2019

Join your fellow members in Columbus, Ohio and put the power of entrepreneurship on display!

NFIB once again will be hosting Small Business Day at the Ohio Capitol on June 5, 2019. As a member of NFIB, we would like to invite you to attend the event and show the elected officials serving in the Ohio Statehouse the power of small business!

Small Business Day, held on a bi-annual basis in Columbus, Ohio, is a day for you, our valued members, to hear from various speakers, learn more about issues currently facing small business owners, and interact with your legislators. A great value as for only $40 you and a guest (family member, an employee from your business, or a fellow small business owner who is not a member of NFIB) can attend a truly memorable event.

The 2019 Small Business Day will take place at the Athletic Club of Columbus for the morning session. Following the morning programming, we will have lunch with members of the Ohio Legislature at the Statehouse where you will be able to share your support or concerns on issues important to you directly with elected officials. With your help, we can continue to make Ohio a better place to own, operate, and grow your business. After lunch, you are encouraged to set up private meetings with your state representative and senator to further discuss those issues important to you and your fellow entrepreneurs.

The event promises to be a great opportunity for the small business community to have their voices heard. Past small business days have had a who’s who of elected leaders joining us. Hear from all three branches of state government: Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio Senate President, Larry Obhof, & Ohio Supreme Court Associate Justices Kennedy & French. Issue such as workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation modernization, and workforce development are often topics for discussion. It is perfect timing to share your opinions as Ohio’s bi-annual budget will be passed into law by June 30, 2019.
