Date: October 06, 2016 Last Edit: October 17, 2016

HARRISBURG, (Oct. 13, 2016)
– The state’s leading small-business organization, the National Federation of Independent
Business (NFIB), today announced that it is endorsing Otto Voit in his bid for
state Treasurer. Voit has over 30 years of experience in the fields of finance,
accounting and operations.

“Otto Voit owned a small software business
which gives him insight into the issues that impact our members. He supports
limited government and limited taxes and believes government must live within
its means,” said Kevin Shivers, executive state director of NFIB Pennsylvania. “Otto’s
experience includes serving as a CFO, a general manager and as president of
large and small businesses. That kind of financial and management experience is
what we need at the state Treasury.

Shivers noted that Voit is also a Desert
Storm veteran who now serves his community as Vice President of the Muhlenberg
School Board and on the boards of other nonprofits.

“Otto has made it clear he is committed to transparency and
accountability.  He also intends to make
it easier for the public and small business by simplifying forms and procedures
at the Treasury” said Shivers.

The endorsement comes from
Pennsylvania’s NFIB’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the
association’s political action committee, and is
based on candidate questionnaires and interviews.  A board of small business owners who are NFIB
members make the final decision on

Small-business owners and
