Small Business Owners Connect with Sen. Hagerty's Team as Part of Virtual Fly-In

Date: June 24, 2021

NFIB members from throughout the state met virtually today representatives from the office of U.S. Sen. Bill Hagerty as part of NFIB’s Virtual Fly-In.

Ordinarily, NFIB members gather in Washington, D.C., each summer to learn more about the issues affecting America’s small businesses and meet with lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill, but because of concerns over the pandemic, this year’s event was held online.

Small business owners spoke with Hagerty’s office about a host of critical issues including concerns over the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act of 2021, federal legislation that threatens Tennessee’s status as a right-to-work state.

NFIB State Director Jim Brown said, “We are grateful to Senator Hagerty for his strong support of small business and his continuing commitment to oppose harmful, job-killing mandates.”
