Congressman Green Joins NFIB TN Members for Virtual Fly-In

Date: August 19, 2020

NFIB members from across Tennessee connected with members of Congress this week as part of NFIB’s first Virtual Fly-In. NFIB hosted engaging visits with Rep. Mark Green, who represents the 7th Congressional District, and the office of Sen. Lamar Alexander.

Ordinarily, NFIB members gather in Washington, D.C., to learn more about the issues affecting America’s small businesses and to visit lawmakers and their staffs on Capitol Hill, but because of concerns over the novel coronavirus, this year’s event was held online.

“We had very meaningful visits with Congressman Green and Senator Alexander’s Office,” NFIB State Director Jim Brown. “Our members learned more about what’s happening in Congress and spoke out on important issues such as ongoing hiring and unemployment challenges, COVID-19 recovery and burdensome mandates, and liability protections for small businesses.”
