NFIB members asked to participate in one of the most important legislative undertakings in state history
As never before, NFIB is imploring its members to get involved in the reform and re-writing of Utah’s entire state tax code.
“We need you there,” said NFIB Utah State Director Candace Daly in reference to the eight public meetings the Tax Restructuring and Equalization Task Force will be holding throughout the state.
The Task Force’s meetings will in two parts: An informational “open house” followed by a “town hall” format where members of the public can share solutions and concerns with the task force.
“It’s become an economic matter of necessity for Utah to revise its state tax code,” said Daly. “It’s going to be done and I think it should be done with small businesses in mind, but small businesses won’t be in the mind of lawmakers unless small-business owners are present at the hearings.” Click here to read Why the Need for the Task Force.
