NFIB is now recruiting members to speak up for Main Street, North Dakota
An active grassroots member is the most valuable asset NFIB has for promoting the small-business agenda in North Dakota. Examples of the things grassroots members do are:
- testify at legislative hearings involving small-business issues
- assist in implementing the political strategy for elections, including recruitment, endorsements, fundraising, and other grassroots efforts
- be a go-to contact for the media
- host lawmakers for a tour of your business operations
- and many other opportunities as the possibilities are many.
Benefits of becoming a grassroots activist include:
- enhancing your understanding of the legislative and political process
- significantly increasing your influence with lawmakers and the media
- advocating on behalf of your business
- helping NFIB fight for small business
Nothing commands the attention of politicians better than hearing directly from a small-business owner, and being an active grassroots member opens the doors of legislative offices and opens the ears of elected officials even wider.
