Mandated rules for June 1 reopenings
A reminder to Rhode Island small businesses, Governor Gina Raimondo announced Phase 2 of the state’s reopenings begin on Monday, June 1. Please note, those opening face restrictions and businesses must comply with the mandated rules.
Phase 2 allows:
- Social gatherings of up to 15 people.
- Office-based businesses can allow up to 33% of their workforce to return.
- Haircare and personal services may reopen.
- Opening of state parks and beaches.
- Non-critical retailers can allow greater numbers of customers in the store, malls can reopen.
- Restaurants can begin indoor dining with 50% capacity.
- Gyms, fitness studios, and small group fitness can reopen with restrictions.
- Outdoor entertainment and recreation activities may resume.
- Childcare services to resume.
