Wisconsin Lawmakers Take Aim at Regulations

Date: January 17, 2018

Legislators are considering several pieces of legislation that would tackle regulations in Wisconsin.

In November 2017, the AP reported, the Wisconsin Assembly approved a measure that would implement a review of all state administrative rules every nine years. Supporters say that this will make sure that the regulations on the books are current and relevant, but opponents believe it would make it too easy to undo consumer, workplace, environmental, and other regulatory protections. The bill is now with the Senate.
