On Wednesday September 1, 2021, NFIB PA State Director Greg Moreland testified before the PA House of Representatives Commerce Committee on the current workforce shortage that is plaguing small businesses throughout the Commonwealth.
Joining the NFIB PA team in testifying was NFIB and Leadership Council member, Doug Henry. Mr. Henry is President of Henry Molded Products, Inc., based in Lebanon, PA, and he had the opportunity to share his experiences in the manufacturing industry and the struggles his business currently faces.
Mr. Henry’s business is not alone. NFIB research shows that 49% of all business owners reported job openings they could not fill. This is a 48-year record high reading, far above the historical average of 22%.
