NFIB Pennsylvania Elects Two New Leadership Council Members

Date: January 02, 2018

They will provide insight and guidance on our advocacy

NFIB Pennsylvania’s Leadership Council has elected two new members to its ranks. The Council is comprised of experienced and successful business owners who provide insight and guidance on the organization’s advocacy efforts in the state capital of Harrisburg. The council includes members from virtually every business sector and each region of the state.

Drew Kimmel of Dutch Run Mining in Indiana County and Tom B. Ryan of Motor Technology, Inc. of York were elected in December and begin serving in January 2018.

“We are so pleased Tom Ryan and Drew Kimmel are joining our Leadership Council because they bring business expertise to the table,” says Kevin Shivers, Executive Director of NFIB. “Tom is the CFO of his family’s company, and he has a depth of knowledge when it comes to tax or financial issues. Drew is a serial entrepreneur who has multiple successful businesses which include Dutch Run Mining. NFIB Pennsylvania will truly benefit from their advice and counsel.”

Tom B. Ryan is CEO of Motor Technology, Inc. With $18 million in revenues, the York Company is one of the largest motor and motor control service centers in the country. Motor Technology has been on the forefront of remote condition monitoring (IoT) and predictive maintenance, enabling its customers to avoid costly catastrophic failures, production downtime, and repairs.

Drew Kimmel is a serial entrepreneur who started his own mining business at age 32. He since has ventured into many other businesses creating dozens of jobs. Kimmel still actively runs two mining businesses, a trucking and an auto repair business, as well as two restaurants.
