Mastriano Earns Small Business Support in Special Election for PA Senate District 33

Date: May 20, 2019

Election is Tuesday May 21

HARRISBURG, May 17, 2019 – NFIB, the nation’s leading small-business association, today announced the endorsement of Doug Mastriano in his bid for state Senate, District 33 in York, Cumberland, Franklin and Adams Counties. A special election for that seat will be held on Tuesday, May 21.

“Doug supports tax and regulatory reform and fiscal responsibility, said Gordon Denlinger, state director of NFIB Pennsylvania. “As a retired U.S. Army colonel who served 30 years, Doug has experience in getting the job done, overcoming differences and delivering results.”

“Small business owners know that government policies from Harrisburg have a direct impact on them and the business environment in which they operate, leading Pennsylvania down the path of economic growth or decline,” added Denlinger. “Doug knows high taxes and burdensome regulations are not the key to inspiring innovation and job growth. We need reform-minded lawmakers in Harrisburg who are willing to look to the future for opportunity and harness the potential of Pennsylvania’s job creators and small businesses.”

NFIB has 12,500 small-business members in Pennsylvania representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from the NFIB Pennsylvania PAC, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues, including health care, taxes, labor, and regulatory issues.

Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to turn out the small-business vote for Mastriano on May 21.
