Joe Pittman Earns Small Business Support in Special Election for PA Senate District 41

Date: May 20, 2019

Election is Tuesday May 21

HARRISBURG, May 17, 2019 – NFIB, the nation’s leading small-business association, today announced the endorsement of Joe Pittman in his bid for state Senate, District 41, in Armstrong, Butler, Indiana, and Westmoreland Counties. A special election for that seat will be held on Tuesday, May 21.

“Joe Pittman has critical policy-making experience that proves he’s aware of the importance of reducing tax and regulatory burdens on businesses,” said Gordon Denlinger, state director of NFIB Pennsylvania.

“Small business owners know that government policies from Harrisburg have a direct impact on them and the business environment in which they operate, leading Pennsylvania down the path of economic growth or decline,” added Denlinger. “Joe understands this and has a vision for creating an environment that is conducive to a strong and diverse economy. Clearly, he appreciates that government mandates do not create jobs or inspire innovation. We need reform-minded lawmakers in Harrisburg who are willing to stand up for the economic potential of Pennsylvania’s job creators and small businesses.”

NFIB has 12,500 small-business members in Pennsylvania representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from the NFIB Pennsylvania PAC, the association’s political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues, including health care, taxes, labor, and regulatory issues.

Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to turn out the small-business vote for Joe Pittman on May 21.
