A New Grassroots Manager in Pennsylvania

She will connect with members to further the small business mission

Margaret Parsons recently joined NFIB in Pennsylvania as Grassroots Manager.  In that position, she will develop, coordinate and implement grassroots activities for NFIB members to further advance the organization’s mission and grow member activism. Margaret will work with members to testify, write letters to the editor, meet with elected officials or host an NFIB event in order to advocate for small-businesses. NFIB Pennsylvania relies on its members to assist us in making legislators aware of important small business matters. Prior to NFIB, Margaret worked for the American Lung Association in Pennsylvania.  She was also a Legislative Information Specialist with Pennsylvania Legislative Services in Harrisburg, monitoring the activities of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.  During the 2012 presidential election, Margaret was the Pennsylvania Coordinator for the Catholics for Romney Coalition. Additionally, she has worked for Congressional Quarterly and Bloomberg, tracking legislation on the federal level. She also taught American Government and Public Policy at Villanova and Strayer University.

Margaret received her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Scranton.  She received her master’s and Ph.D. in American Politics from The Catholic University of America. Margaret also serves as Grassroots Manager for Vermont and New Hampshire.
