ALBANY (September 28, 2016) – All of the
following may be attributed to Mike Durant, State Director of NFIB in response
to the Tax Foundation’s Recent Report.
“Today’s report by the Tax Foundation stating that New York
ranks as the second worst state in the nation for business tax climate frankly
comes as no surprise. Albany continues to do the bidding of big labor and
their investments largely exclude small employers. Small business
accounts for over $950 billion in annual revenue for New York, yet remains
under siege by an agenda that has dramatically threatened their
viability. Until Albany celebrates the vital importance small employers
have on our economy and offers more than rhetorical support, New York will
continue to rate among the worst states for business in the country.”
