Small-Business Owners Needed for Paid Family and Medical Leave Advisory Group

Date: February 20, 2020

They are looking for business owners of all sizes and industries

The newly created Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML) asked NFIB if any of our members are interested in serving on its small employer advisory group. The group will provide feedback to the DFML as they develop the benefit system to manage the new paid family and medical leave program. It is important that small businesses, representing employers with fewer than 100 workers, participate in this process to raise important questions and concerns.

The group is looking to meet during the second week of March. The meetings will run for roughly an hour and a half  and a call-in option will be made available for those outside of the area. They are looking for business owners of all sizes and industries, even those opting-out of the state leave program in order to utilize a private option plan.

If you are willing to participate, please contact [email protected] or call (617) 482-1327.
