Small biz will not forget where Massachusetts lawmakers stood on UI tax relief

Take Action On Small Business Issues In Massachusetts

Be the voice of small business and make your voice heard with your elected officials in the Massachusetts legislature.

Our message has been clear – Massachusetts employers should not be solely responsible for paying the estimated $7 BILLION UI Trust Fund deficit (plus interest) over the next 20 years. Beacon Hill should allocate more than $500 million of federal money and surplus tax revenue for the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund.

The Senate had the opportunity to support amendments that would restore the full $1 billion allocation for the UI Trust Fund. The amendments were rejected.

Thank you for staying active and contacting lawmakers on this. Now it is time to:

  • Thank legislators that voted to protect small businesses.
  • Express disappointment to legislators who voted against small businesses.
