Massachusetts Moves on to Phase 3 Part 2 for Most Communities

Date: October 01, 2020

On Tuesday, Governor Baker announced that communities that are not considered in the “red” on the state COVID maps can move on to Phase 3 Part 2 on Monday, October 5th. This includes indoor recreation businesses like roller skating rinks, trampoline parks and laser tag facilities.

NFIB worked to set up several meetings with business owners and state officials in an effort to move the reopening process along. Many of the Phase 3 businesses did not anticipate being placed in part 2 and prepared to re-open in early July.

The businesses will be held to 50% capacity along with other specific guidelines and protocols. Business that are considered in red communities will remain at Phase 3 Part 1.
