Massachusetts' Meals, Sales, Occupancy Tax Deferral Extended

Date: September 16, 2020

Businesses can continue to defer payments of regular sales, meals and occupancy tax collections owed between March 2020 and April 2021. This will mean the taxes must be paid in May of 2021.

Businesses that collected less than $150,000 in meals, sales, and occupancy taxes are eligible for tax relief as well. There will be no penalties or interest collected during the tax extension.
