December Texas Member of the Month | Future Members

Date: December 06, 2017

This month we are celebrating our future members who we can’t wait to meet. As we get into the Christmas spirit the NFIB/Texas team is talking to members past, present members, and future members in Mansfield this week. These meetings with small business owners are invaluable for our team to gather information on advocacy needs.

Continuing the fight on much needed tax reform for small business, the team plans to meet with area business owners to hear more about the everyday policy issues that impact their business and to gain more insight into small business needs.

“We are once again focused on tax reform on a federal level and are actively advocating for this for small business on the Hill,” said NFIB/Texas Executive Director Will Newton. “Visiting with business owners will provide valuable time to discuss their current concerns and how we can work together to grow the voice of small business in the capitol.”

Newton, the executive director of NFIB/Texas since January 2005, with 30 years of experience in Texas government and business association work. The information gained during these meetings will be utilized in advocacy of small business during the next Legislative Session.

Texas Division Managers Noland Owens (more than 30 years’ experience with NFIB) and Paul Williams (more than 15 years’ experience with NFIB) will also be calling on area business owners to address advocacy needs and strengthen the voice of small business at the Texas capitol.
