NFIB: Small Business Can't Be Overlooked in COVID-19 Recovery Process

NFIB State Director Dawn Starns told the Louisiana Economic Recovery Task Force today that small business is essential to the state’s economy.

“Small business represents so many people in this economy,” said Starns, a member of the Committee for Removing Obstacles to Incentivize Job Creation and Economic Development. “We provide 50% of the workforce, 50% of the GDP in the country, and we cannot be overlooked in this process.’

The task force was established by Senate President Page Cortez and House Speaker Clay Schexnayder to develop practical and specific policy recommendations to jump-start the state’s economy lay the foundation for future growth.
