NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, said today that 30 state senators and 22 representatives who served partial or full terms in the Mississippi Legislature in the 2016-19 sessions achieved a 100 percent NFIB Voting Record.
“Our members truly appreciate the strong, consistent support of these legislators on issues that affect their small businesses,” said Ron Aldridge, NFIB’s state director for Mississippi. “Many of these legislators own and operate their own businesses, so they understand the challenges our members face on a daily basis.”

Aldridge said the NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by a lawmaker when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of a legislator. NFIB’s Mississippi Voting Record for the 2016-19 sessions included 20 key votes in the Senate and 25 in the House on issues such as tax relief, regulatory reform, and legal liability.
