NFIB Thanks Sen. McConnell on Leadership for Small Business Funding

Date: April 24, 2020

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement on behalf of NFIB’s Kentucky State Director Tom Underwood, following President Trump signing the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act into law:

“Small businesses nationwide are thankful for Sen. Mitch McConnell’s leadership during this uncertain time. Sen. McConnell proposed the original $251 billion of the law in order to help the smallest of small businesses and has since continued to push for additional funding. Small businesses make up nearly half of the economy and GDP and it is crucial that they have the funds to keep their doors open.”
