NFIB State Director Matt Everson released the following statement today in response to passage of the legislation cutting taxes by $1 billion a year:
“The Senate tax bill is a great next step toward creating an environment where Iowa’s small, family-owned businesses can afford to expand and create jobs. On behalf of our members, I want to thank Senate Majority Leader Bill Dix, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Randy Feenstra, and other leaders for supporting these tax cuts and shepherding this legislation through the Senate.
“But this isn’t a done deal. We’re encouraging House leadership to build on Senate File 2383 and come up with legislation both chambers can support and Governor Reynolds will sign into law.”
