Updated Monday, Sept. 11: State offices in several counties were closed on Monday because of Hurricane Irma.
Last week, Gov. Henry McMaster has issued an executive order declaring a state of emergency and, with the S.C. Emergency Management Division, is urging South Carolinians to prepare for the possibility of Hurricane Irma impacting the state. The executive order enables all state agencies to coordinate resources in preparation for Hurricane Irma.
The South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD) has created a website with resources related to the storm. It includes links for information about power outages, road conditions, and school closings. Click here to visit the website.
