Indiana Small Business Encouraged by Gov. Holcomb’s State of the State

Date: January 17, 2020

NFIB Applauds Governor's Efforts to Fix Small Business Problem

NFIB, the leading small business association in Indiana, applauded Gov. Eric Holcomb and his focus on small business priorities during his State of the State speech. The governor mentioned small business successes during his evaluation of Indiana’s economy and NFIB State Director Barbara Quandt says the big take away is this: small business is thriving in Indiana and small business owners will be even more successful this year thanks to the governor’s 2020 vision.

Indiana has never been stronger under the leadership of Governor Holcomb. He continues to prove his commitment to small businesses across Indiana. Look at our great financial picture: Indiana has a AAA credit rating, a surplus on hand, and an unemployment rate that is at a 19-year low. NFIB thanks the Governor for his efforts to fix one of the biggest problems for small business owners in Indiana: the inability to find qualified workers. We support his Next-Level program and its goal of training incarcerated Hoosiers so they have the workforce skills to be able to land a job after they are released. NFIB looks forward to working with the Governor in 2020 to make Indiana an even better place to do business.
