Capitol Report: New Changes to Illinois Equal Pay Act

Date: October 05, 2021

New Changes to Illinois Equal Pay Act

The Illinois General Assembly and Gov. Pritzker adopted changes to this Act in 2021 that require private businesses with 100 or more employees in the state of Illinois to report additional payroll information to the Illinois Department of Labor (see Public Act 101-656 [ilga.gov] and PA 102-036 [ilga.gov]).

If your business does not currently have 100 or more employees, please do not provide your contact information.

The first step in this process is for IDOL to collect contact information for businesses that are subject to the reporting requirements, so that they may communicate directly with each business.

IDOL is requesting three email contacts to ensure that department communication will reach someone within your business. Please use this link to provide contact information for your business: https://forms.office.com/g/VQweNsryxx

After you provide IDOL with your contact information, the department will send you additional instructions via email.

If you have any questions, please contact Robert Parrilli at IDOL:  [email protected]

(Mr. Parrilli will be on vacation October 4-11, so responses to questions will be returned after October 11.)
