Date: August 07, 2018

U.S. Rep. Garret Graves receives his Guardian of Small Business Award.

NFIB has presented its coveted Guardian of Small Business Award to U.S. Rep. Garret Graves (6th District) and Rep. Mike Johnson (4th District)

The Guardian of Small Business Award is the most prestigious honor that NFIB bestows on members of Congress in recognition of their efforts to support small business issues.

NFIB Louisiana State Director Dawn Starns presented the award to Graves on Aug. 7 following an NFIB Small Business Roundtable with the congressman at Mestizo restaurant, an NFIB member business in Baton Rouge. Johnson received his on Aug. 16 at a roundtable at Rhino Coffee Uptown in Shreveport.

Graves and Johnson have earned a 100% voting record with NFIB in the 115th Congress (2017-18), siding with small businesses on regularity and legal reform. He also supported the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which eased the financial pressure on small businesses and made it easier for them to grow and to create jobs.
