Date: June 24, 2020

Cindy Neal, an entrepreneur who owns the Peoria franchise of Express Employment Professionals, has been elected chair of the NFIB Illinois Leadership Council.

The 18 member Illinois Leadership Council advises NFIB’s state director in developing strategies to support small businesses throughout the state. Council members are nominated either by NFIB’s state director or current board members and elected by the council.

Neal is a 13-year member of NFIB and joined the Leadership Council in 2014. She is a co-founder of FSC Properties LLC, which owns a commercial building in Peoria Heights and has been involved in many local organizations including the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Peoria and East Peoria chambers of commerce, and the Project Upward adult literacy program.

“Cindy has been a strong advocate for small business,” NFIB State Director Mark Grant said. “She cares tremendously about the free enterprise system and will work hard to ensure that small businesses across the state are given a level playing field so they can continue to grow their businesses and create jobs.”

Neal said, “I’m honored to chair the Illinois Leadership Council and to have the opportunity to speak on behalf of NFIB’s Illinois members”
