U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood (18th District) visited Ace Sign Co. in Springfield today to take the NFIB Small Business Challenge.
The NFIB Small Business Challenge is a national campaign that invites lawmakers to spend a day “on the job” at a small business in their community and allows them to experience firsthand the challenges small-business owners face, including day-to-day management, compliance, and tax issues.
The event gave Representative LaHood an opportunity to learn more about the challenges of running a small business. He later joined other NFIB members at Ace Sign Co. for a small-business roundtable to talk about the historic tax reform legislation and other issues.
Afterward, he tweeted that it was good to hear “about the positive effects the new tax law is having on our independent, locally-owned businesses” and “how it’s providing more opportunities for jobs and further expansion.”
