Big Relief for Small Business: Budget Bill Includes No New Taxes

Date: June 04, 2018

NFIB State Director Mark Grant thanks Gov. Bruce Rauner for signing the 2018-19 budget bill into law.

“This bipartisan budget bill is a big relief for Illinois’ small businesses. Legislators from both sides of the aisle were able to set partisan politics aside and pass a $38.5 billion spending plan that doesn’t include one single penny in new taxes on small business. We applaud them and Governor Rauner for setting solid footing for Illinois’ small business community to move forward with their plans to grow and raise wages for employees.

“Small business is the engine that drives our economy. Everything the governor and legislators can do to ease the financial pressure on small businesses is going to make it easier for them to expand and create jobs and help our economy get back on track.”
