90 Legislators Earn 100% Voting Record on Small-Business Issues

Date: September 10, 2018

NFIB Tennessee today announced that 90 members – 21 senators and 69 representatives – of the 110th Tennessee General Assembly achieved a 100 percent NFIB Voting Record in the 2017-18 legislative sessions.

“NFIB members in Tennessee greatly appreciate the strong support from state legislators on the issues that impact their businesses,” Brown said. “Many legislators own and operate their own businesses back in their districts, and they understand the challenges fellow risk-takers face in operating a small enterprise.”

Brown noted the NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by a lawmaker when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of a legislator.

NFIB Tennessee’s Voting Record in 2017-18 included seven key votes, down from 14 in 2015-16, on issues important to small business, including labor, workforce, environmental, and regulatory reforms.
