NFIB’s Georgia state director, Nathan Humphrey, applauded Gov. Brian Kemp’s executive order creating the Georgians First Commission to identify ways state government can help small businesses succeed.
“On behalf of our members, I want to thank Governor Kemp for acting so quickly to help small business,” Humphrey said.
“This is a big deal for Georgia’s small businesses,” Humphrey said. “Cutting burdensome rules and regulations and streamlining how state government works will remove some of the obstacles that make it harder for small businesses to expand and create jobs.”
“Small business is the engine that drives Georgia’s economy,” Humphrey said. According to the latest figure’s from the U.S. Small Business Administration, small businesses account for 99.6 percent of all employers in the state and employ 43.2 percent of the state’s private-sector workforce.
“Governor Kemp understands that when you help small business, you help everybody,” Humphrey said.
