Senator Perdue Commends NFIB for Helping GA Small Businesses During Pandemic

Date: October 28, 2020

Sen. David Perdue commended NFIB’s actions on behalf of Georgia’s small businesses during a virtual meeting with members on Friday, Oct. 23.

“I want to remind the (NFIB) members that during a crisis like this, this is when you get a return on your membership dues,” Senator Perdue said on the call, which he organized to announce his endorsement by the NFIB Federal PAC in the Nov. 3 election.

“This is a big deal, in a time of crisis, that you can reach out to experienced people … to get advice about where to go get help, how to find the right community bank, how to get applications for a PPP loan or a Main Street loan, how to actually get involved to get help (is a benefit that) is just immeasurable.”

Perdue said, “A lot of these small (business) people we’ve dealt with in our constituent services, a lot of times, we’ve referred them over and partnered with NFIB in terms of trying to help these small businesses get access (to the services and assistance they need).”

“NFIB has been just a tremendous partner,” Senator Perdue said.

Mychal Walker, a member of the NFIB Georgia Leadership Council, introduced Senator Perdue. He said he supports Perdue because “Senator Perdue is a businessman. He understands what it means to meet a payroll. He understands the fiscal and financial responsibility that goes along with being a leader of an organization and taking care of his staff and employees and all of his team members.”
